Nadia Bailey was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds for Madison. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Yazmin Torrez, who scored 11 points.
SA Roosevelt has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 17 of their last 19 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season. As for Madison, their victory bumped their record up to 13-18.
SA Roosevelt will be playing in front of their home fans against Johnson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Johnson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than SA Roosevelt in Texas (Johnson is ranked 190th, while SA Roosevelt is ranked 965th). As for Madison, they will head out on the road to take on Brandeis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandeis will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive.
