Hartland had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-8 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Walled Lake Western Warriors 15-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since May 28, 2025.
Hartland got a massive performance out of Olivia Wendell, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Wendell also got a hit, marking her first of the season. Kaitlyn Brennan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.

Hartland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.

On Walled Lake Western's side, Audrianna Thorsell put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Thorsell has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one run and one RBI.
