Germantown Academy put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers with a sharp 16-5 victory. With that win, the Patriots brought their scoring average up to 7.2 runs per game.

Holt Record looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Cooper Burkholder and Tyler Nolan did most of the damage at the plate: Burkholder scored two runs while going 1-for-3, while Nolan scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Nolan also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Vargas, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Germantown Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Germantown Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Calhoun Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Coming up, Germantown Academy is taking a road trip to take on St. Mark's at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Calhoun Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 11-7 win against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes on the 25th.
