La Habra and Troy go head to head this Friday at 7:00 PM. Troy will need to watch out since La Habra has posted big point totals in its previous three matchups.
La Habra can now show off four landslide victories after its game last week. It dominated last week, steamrollering Sunny Hills 42 - 3. Senior Skyler Taylor was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he earned two touchdowns and 143 yards rushing the ball). The longest score for Taylor was a punishing, defense-defying 55-yard dash in the fourth quarter. Junior Mitch Anderson was in the mix too, providing La Habra with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Troy is still under.500 but has been making strides to fix that in its last two games. It claimed a 29 - 21 victory over Buena Park last week. Senior Mitchell Sima deserves a lot of the credit as he tossed the ball for 257 yards and three TDs. Sima has been a consistent playmaker for Troy as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Their wins bumped Troy to 2-4 and La Habra to 4-2. We'll find out which team can carry over its success and which team inevitably falls when Troy and La Habra clash.
