Danika Howe made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025.
In other batting news, Kenzie Orozco and Molly Kennelly did most of the damage at the plate: Orozco went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run, while Kennelly went 2-for-3 with one home run. That's the most hits Kennelly has posted since back in March of 2025. Ava Burrell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Williams always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northland Prep Academy only posted an OBP of .318.
Meanwhile, Mogollon made easy work of Window Rock on Monday and carried off a 21-13 win.
Mogollon got a massive performance out of AVA PLANTHOLT, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was AUTUMN JONES, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Mogollon's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Williams, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Williams got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Mogollon by a conclusive 19-5 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
