Garland is 0-4 against Wylie East since March of 2023 but things could change on Tuesday. The Garland Owls will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wylie East Raiders at 12:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Garland 3.3, Wylie East 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Garland is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Lakeview Centennial get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Monday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 11 runs or more this season.

Garland got a massive performance out of Mady Key, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave Key a new career-high in RBI. Melody Alarcon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Key wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Garland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for Garland: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 13.8.
Meanwhile, Wylie East waltzed into their game on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Eagles. Give the Raiders' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Not much got past Isabella Flores, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Rowlett off the board.
At the plate, Wylie East saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Poovey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Wylie East pushed their record up to 12-7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Garland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-1.
Both Garland and Wylie East just can't seem to miss. Garland has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like Wylie East struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
