Football Recap: Hickory Piles Up the Points Against Foard

Hickory entered their tilt with Foard on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They breezed past the Tigers to the tune of 50-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Red Tornadoes' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Tigers are ranked 301st).

Hickory got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaheem Jenkins out in front who rushed for 118 yards and three scores on only 14 carries. Jenkins is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Another back making a difference was Jahkyran Weaver, who rushed for 71 yards and a pair of TDs.

Hickory's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Foard, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Hickory didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 49-6 win against North Lincoln on the 26th. As for Foard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 47-0 defeat against Maiden on the 26th.
