There's no place like home for Evangel Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Southern Christian Patriots on Friday. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

KC GABLES made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, RALEY CURTIS was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemp Swords, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Evangel Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southern Christian only posted an OBP of .350.

Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 25-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Southern Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evangel Christian will head out to take on Wiregrass at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southern Christian, they will take on Non Varsity Opponent at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
