The Hillsboro Burros waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Cane Ridge with points to spare, taking the game 58-39. This was a revenge matchup for Hillsboro, as the team was forced to settle for a 44-42 defeat when these two played last Thursday.
Hillsboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ragan Starks, who scored 15 points. Starks hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Eboni Donaldson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hillsboro pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Cane Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will take on McGavock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cane Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hunters Lane at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. Hopefully Cane Ridge is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hunters Lane in Tennessee (Cane Ridge is ranked 163rd, while Hunters Lane is ranked 402nd).
