It was a good run, but Delphi Community unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clinton Prairie Gophers. The Oracles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gophers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Delphi Community saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xaine Tessier, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Tessier has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Delphi Community's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Clinton Prairie, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delphi Community will square off against Clinton Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Oracles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Clinton Prairie, they will challenge Fountain Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
