The Norris Titans had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Northwest 50-14 on the road. Considering Norris has won six games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Blake Macklin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 234 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.8 yards per carry. Macklin is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last six games he's played. Eli Holt also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Northwest lost, one person who can't be blamed is Camden Walker. Despite the final result, he picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Norris has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Norris will head out on the road to face off against Bennington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bennington is on a six-game streak of home wins, Norris a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
