Baseball Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Has No Trouble Against Brevard HEAT

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Brevard HEAT on Friday. The Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Brevard HEAT Firehawks. The Tigers not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 13th.

Roman Carlson made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carlson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

In other pitching news, Kash Janke looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 2-6 otherwise.

Back at the plate, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy let Brody DelBoccio and Devon Jackameit run wild. DelBoccio scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Jackameit scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. What's more, Jackameit posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Noah Thatcher, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive contests.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Brevard HEAT, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will be playing at home against Bayside at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Bayside's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brevard HEAT, they will take on Astronaut in a tournament on Monday.
