Even though the Gateway Eagles have not done well against the Lehigh Lightning recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Gateway took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 66-38 win over Lehigh. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gateway.
Kenyah Moss had a dynamite game for Gateway, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 25 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Moss has scored at least 25% of Gateway's points. V'Davrielle Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 12 rebounds and 3 steals.
Gateway's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Lehigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gateway will face off against Mariner at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lehigh, they will head out on the road to face off against Cape Coral at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
