The Macomb Bombers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 50-25 margin over Lewistown. The victory was just what Macomb needed coming off of a 60-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Lewistown's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abby Wiegand, who scored 7 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Johnson, who scored 5 points.
Macomb's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lewistown, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-9 record last season and are now at 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Macomb will challenge Central/Southeastern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central/Southeastern will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Lewistown, they will head out on the road to face off against Midwest Central/Delavan at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
