Brandon is 0-4 against North Branch since March of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The Brandon Blackhawks will be playing at home against the North Branch Broncos at 6:00  p.m. Brandon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
 Even though Brandon has not done well against Corunna recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. Brandon enjoyed a cozy  60-44 victory over Corunna. That 16  points margin sets a new team best for Brandon this season.
  Riley Abney continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  scoring 37 points along with eight  rebounds and seven  assists. That makes it eight consecutive games in which  she has scored at least a third of Brandon's points.  Jaden Williamson was another key contributor,  scoring 13 points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 North Branch suffered their biggest  loss yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Armada at home  and fell  66-39. While losing is never fun, North Branch can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings  (they are ranked 360th, while Armada is ranked 93rd).
 Brandon's win  ended a four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 3-7. As for North Branch, they now  have a losing record at 5-6.
