Matt Ayotte posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out 11 batters over 7.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Madawaska is 6-3 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise.
