Maverick Chance Turns in Season-Best  Effort
  Maverick Chance produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Ravenwood to the win  on Thursday. Chance rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 38 yards and a touchdown. His longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 The  victory for Ravenwood keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Chance and Ravenwood will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Franklin at 7:00  p.m.  on October 18th.

Matthew Horner Puts an End to Independence's Losing Streak  on Thursday
 Thanks in part to  Matthew Horner, Independence said goodbye to their nine-game losing streak  dating back to last season. Horner rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's  had all season long. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
 Independence's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Horner and Independence will have some time to savor their  victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fairview at 7:00  p.m.  on October 18th.

Ravenwood Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to  Austin Mayfield
  Austin Mayfield was instrumental in extending Ravenwood's winning streak to seven on Thursday. Mayfield was unstoppable, picking up  a  sack and making three total tackles (2.0 for loss).

A Season-Best  Effort from  Elliot Hampton Leads Ravenwood over Summit
 Ravenwood picked up their seventh consecutive win   on Thursday thanks in part to  Elliot Hampton. Hampton produced his best game of the campaign : he picked up  a  sack and made five total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 This year,  Hampton  has averaged 2.8 total tackles per game  and for the season has 2 sacks. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season,  he had one  sack.
