Springfield Township had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Germantown Friends on Saturday. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over Germantown Friends. With that win, the Spartans brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Charlie Dyke looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).

On the hitting side, Anderson Kerper was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Mike Capoferri was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for William Tennent, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They never let Lower Moreland get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Jackson Archibald tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cody Devor, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Ferrara, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
William Tennent hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Moreland struck out eight times.
Springfield Township pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for William Tennent, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
