Softball Recap: Thursday's Defeat Ends Enochs' Winning Streak

After a string of 13 wins, Enochs's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 10-7 to the Ben Holt College Prep Academy Bobcats.

Soraya Mendoza was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mendoza was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

In other batting news, Camila Ramirez Quintana made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aleahya Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Enochs' loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Enochs will be taking part in a tournament against Orestimba at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ben Holt College Prep Academy, they will take on Manteca in a tournament on Friday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Buffaloes have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
