The Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against The Master's Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy strolled past Challenger with points to spare, taking the game 49-35. Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy pushed the score to 45-21 by the end of the third, a deficit Challenger cut but never quite recovered from.
In what's become a running theme this season, The Master's Academy gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 56-17 win over Lake Lure Classical Academy. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-5.
Yelton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Bell, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for The Master's Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.
Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy ended up a good deal behind The Master's Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2023, losing 47-33. Can Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
