Beacon (13-6, 9-2), undefeated over its last four games. Three of those wins came in the past week, including a 9-6 victory over Panas and a 17-1 win over Hendrick Hudson.
The Panthers' pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing three hits and two walks to lead the league in both categories. Panas has given up a mere 63 hits on the year, while striking out 58 opposing hitters. Cohall is the leader in that category with 23 Ks on the season.
Arlington's 178 hits this week were the most in the league, adding to its season total of 178, best of any team. The Admirals, which sit in fourth place, are led by
Robbie Camastro, who has accumulated 26 hits this season.
The Panthers'
Brendan Gallagher finished his week with eight hits, tops in the league. On the season, he's hitting .300 and ranks seventeenth in the league with 15 hits.
