The Hilliard Red Flashes will venture away from home to challenge the Eagle's View Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hilliard has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 10.
Things were looking good for Hilliard after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 9-6 to Bradford.

Ethan Garland was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Austin Thompson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
The home team had won the previous six meetings between Eagle's View and Cedar Creek Christian, and Eagle's View kept the tradition alive. The Warriors blew past the Saints 10-2 on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
River Ahrens made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Ahrens was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Logan Houston, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Chiong, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Eagle's View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matchups.
Hilliard's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Eagle's View, their record is now 3-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Hilliard has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Eagle's View struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Hilliard got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 against Eagle's View by a conclusive 13-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Flashes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
