The Fruitport Trojans will venture away from home to  square off against the Wyoming Wolves  at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. One thing working in Fruitport's favor is that they have posted at least ten  runs  in their last five games.
16 must be Fruitport's lucky number: they beat Comstock Park with that score not once but twice  on Tuesday. The Trojans put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp  16-0 win. The Trojans have beaten the Panthers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
 Khloe Courtade was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Courtade was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Kalli Tawney was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Madyson Prout, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Fruitport was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .409 or higher in five consecutive  contests.
Meanwhile, Wyoming came up short against  Thornapple Kellogg on Monday, falling  8-1. The Wolves haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
 Wyoming saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Danika Rawls, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run and one  double.
 Fruitport pushed their record up to 12-1 with the  victory, which was their eighth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Wyoming, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
Wyoming's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Fruitport has been making plenty of contact this season,  having  averaged 10.3  hits per game. It's a different story for Wyoming, though, as  they've been averaging 9.1  hits. Given Fruitport's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolves will need to find a way to close that gap.
