The Houston Tigers lost against the Liberty Eagles back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Houston was the victim of a rough 35-14 defeat at the hands of Liberty. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Houston in their matchups with Liberty: they've now lost five in a row.
Wyatt Hughes threw for 51 yards on five of ten attempts. On the ground, Grayson Mitchell rushed for 54 yards.
Houston now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Liberty, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Houston will head out on the road to face off against Strafford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Strafford will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Liberty, they have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Springfield Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
