3A Southern Cascade recap Oct. 9, 2012
Cascade Christian extended the longest winning streak in 3A Southern Cascade this week by beating Lost River, 42-7. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
St. Mary's took down Chiloquin 61-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Illinois Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. C. J. Manning has thrown for 270 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Mack Epple has nine catches for 163 yards. Gabe Miller leads the league in rushing with 164 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Illinois Valley takes on Lakeview/Paisley. The Cougars are in third place, while the Honkers are in fifth place.
The Crusaders led 3A Southern Cascade in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on the Panthers/Queens.
