The Skyline Eagles entered their tilt with the Kearns Cougars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Skyline's way against Kearns on Wednesday as Skyline made off with a 61-38 win. That's another feather in the cap for Skyline, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Beau Bierman, who scored 17 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Kai Sorenson, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Kearns' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ivan Kaufusi, who scored 9 points along with 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mauricio Lemus, who scored 12 points.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Kearns, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyline will face off against Copper Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kearns, they will head out on the road to face off against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
