Eastern came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Middle Township Panthers with a sharp 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Eastern's win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Middle Township, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.

Eastern will take on Bayonne at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Middle Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
