Softball Recap: Friday's Win Is Windsor's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

While Windsor's victory against Healdsburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars won by a run and slipped past the Greyhounds 8-7. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Alyssa Rivers, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Taylor Ford, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Rivers wasn't the only one making solid contact: Windsor kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Healdsburg only managed seven hits.

Windsor has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Healdsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will face off against Rancho Cotate at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Healdsburg, they will challenge Piedmont at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
