This season hasn't been kind to The Chamberlain Storm, who are still winless after their ninth match. They fell to Brandon 18-13. The game was a 6-6 toss-up at halftime, but Chamberlain was outscored by Brandon in the second.
Chamberlain's lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jakeh Palmore, who picked up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Grover Colbert was on fire for Brandon: he rushed for 235 yards and a touchdown while picking up 12.4 yards per carry.
Chamberlain's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-2 East Bay and 8-2 Plant (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 56.5% over those games). As for Brandon, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chamberlain will challenge Leto at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brandon, they will head out on the road to face off against Alonso at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
