Taylor is 1-8 against Eastbrook since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Titans will head out to take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Taylor has given up an average of 17.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Taylor is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came up short against Madison-Grant on Saturday, falling 16-9.
Taylor got a massive performance out of Trinity Calvert, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Savanna Mike also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Eastbrook had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Elwood. The result was nothing new for Eastbrook, who have now won seven contests by ten runs or more so far this season.
Delanie Elliott made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Elliott was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Gracie Elliott was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Mya Peterson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Eastbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Eastbrook's record is now 12-7. As for Taylor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-20.
Taylor might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Eastbrook when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
