Lawrence North and Eastern Hancock are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. Indianapolis Lutheran hit Lawrence North with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Ginger Strelow was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and one stolen base. Victoria Guyse was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eastern Hancock, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. Everything went their way against Wes-Del on Monday as they made off with an 8-2 victory. Considering the Royals have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Addisyn Trackwell was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Mason, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Eastern Hancock always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Lawrence North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Eastern Hancock, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-10 record.
