Despite the loss, Mt. Carmel saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tyler Humphrey dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Humphrey has scored all season. Kai Manning also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Mt. Carmel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for San Marcos, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Carmel will challenge Del Norte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt.
