Meadowbrook Academy posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Friday. They breezed by Countryside Christian at home to the tune of 58-28. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Meadowbrook Academy has posted against Countryside Christian since January 28, 2019.
Meadowbrook Academy relied on the efforts of Gaige Daugherty, who scored ten points along with eight steals and six rebounds, and Tico Smith, who scored 23 points along with five steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Meadowbrook Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Orion Grayer, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Cornerstone Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Meadowbrook Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Cornerstone Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Meadowbrook Academy in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory.
