Audrey Lebovitz made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 19 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those 19 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-5. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Pippa Gerharz and Gabrielle Smith did most of the damage at the plate: Gerharz got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and three runs, while Smith scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Gerharz has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Melissa Solis, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Senn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chicago Academy only posted an OBP of .375.
Senn's record now sits at 2-0. As for Chicago Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
