The Rider Raiders had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Northwest by a score of 51-42 on Tuesday. For Rider, this counts as revenge for the 43-31 defeat Northwest walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Leading Rider to victory were Caiden Reed and Gavin Aday. Reed scored 15 points along with five rebounds, while Aday scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Reed's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Silas Mckown, who scored eight points.
Rider's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Northwest, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Saginaw the next time they take the court. Rider will host Saginaw at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Northwest will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
