The Mater Academy Charter Lions won against Somerset Prep last Friday with 66 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Monday. Mater Academy Charter claimed a resounding 66-25 win over Somerset Prep at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mater Academy Charter.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mater Academy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jan Alicea, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Davis, who scored 13 points.
Mater Academy Charter's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Somerset Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mater Academy Charter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Archbishop Carroll at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. Somerset Prep will take on Elite Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
