They walked away with a 30-18 victory over Denbigh Baptist Christian. The score was all tied up 11-11 at the break, but Spirit HomeSchool was the (much) better team in the second half.
Denbigh Baptist Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Payten Gary, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Spirit HomeSchool's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Denbigh Baptist Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Spirit HomeSchool will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Summit Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Summit Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
