The Villages Charter Buffalo are taking a road trip to square off against the East Ridge Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Villages Charter is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Friday, The Villages Charter made easy work of Forest and carried off an 8-1 win. Fans of the Buffalo have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Samuel Craig
| 02/28/25 vs Forest | 1 |
| 02/21/25 vs Lake Weir | 0 |
| 02/11/25 vs Tavares | 1 |
Samuel Craig spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Logan Godwin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Landon Howell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for East Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over Tavares on Friday.
Bryan Estrella was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Dewoody, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
East Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. The Villages Charter pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.
East Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. The Villages Charter has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for East Ridge, though, as they've been averaging only 3.6 strikeouts. Will The Villages Charter keep running through batters, or will East Ridge buck the trend?
Everything went The Villages Charter's way against East Ridge in their previous matchup on Wednesday, as The Villages Charter made off with a 15-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for The Villages Charter since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
