Kaison Koenenn was his usual excellent self, rushing for 189 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 165 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 189 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Aiden Harvanek was in the mix too, providing Hancock with two scores.
West Jones' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tootie Lindsey, who threw for 218 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 59 yards. Lindsey got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 57 yards. Caleb Holmes was another key player, gaining 201 total yards.
Hancock pushed their record up to 5-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points over those games.
