Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Axtell's Third in Last Four Outings

Axtell won the last time they faced Giltner and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 2-0.

Axtell easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-18.

Emily Danburg paced Axtell's offense, picking up 18 kills. Danburg got some help from Madison Wells and her 23 assists.

Axtell is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. As for Giltner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Coincidentally, Axtell and Giltner will both be playing Harvard the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
