There's no place like home for Mountain View, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Provo Bulldogs on Thursday as they made off with a 17-7 win. Considering the Bruins have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Brinlee Gillman was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Gillman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Mountain View let Saralynn Hair and Haylee Krug run wild. Hair went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Krug got on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Krug continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Provo, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
