The Phoenix Day School for the Deaf Roadrunners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 59-6 defeat at the hands of Lincoln Prep. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf in their matchups with Lincoln Prep: they've now lost four in a row.
Phoenix Day School for the Deaf used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Valentina Gutierrez,
Sofia Tuanquin, and
Argelia Rojas posted two points each.
Phoenix Day School for the Deaf has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Lincoln Prep, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf will take on Patagonia at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Patagonia is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Lincoln Prep, they will play host again and welcome North Valley Christian Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. North Valley Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
