On Wednesday, Nease came up short against Andrew Jackson and fell 50-42. While losing is never fun, Nease can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Andrew Jackson is ranked 19th).
Nease lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jack Sullivan, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four blocks. Sullivan also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Ryan Gornto was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Nease bumped their record down to 9-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Andrew Jackson, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.
Nease will look to defend their home court on Friday against St. Augustine at 7:30 p.m. As for Andrew Jackson, they will head out on the road to square off against Savannah at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
