It's playoff time, and Franklin Community had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Columbus East Olympians on Friday. The Grizzly Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Braeden Burton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landen Basey, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Owen Bullington was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

The win snapped Franklin Community's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-9 record. As for Columbus East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-20.

As of now, neither Franklin Community nor the Olympians have any future games scheduled.
