Alhambra has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Maryvale Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alhambra comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Friday, Alhambra lost to Desert Sunrise on the road by a decisive 28-12 margin.
Although Alhambra took the loss, they still got scores from Keshaun Holmes and Jesus Gutierrez.
Meanwhile, Maryvale's three-game losing streak came to an end two weeks ago. They took down Copper Canyon 25-7.
Alhambra's loss was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-7. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-6 Desert Sunrise and 2-6 Seton Catholic (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 44.3% over those games). As for Maryvale, their win two weeks ago bumped their record up to 2-5.
Alhambra came up short against Maryvale in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, falling 24-14. Will Alhambra have more luck at home instead of on the road?
