Drew Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Fordyce, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Pirates put the hurt on the Redbugs with a sharp 14-3 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Drew Central's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Fordyce, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3 record.

Drew Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 loss against Smackover on the 20th. As for Fordyce, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-8 defeat against Parkers Chapel on the 20th.
