Westside has gone 9-1 against River View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Renegades are taking a road trip to challenge the Raiders at 5:30 p.m. River View took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Westside, who comes in off a win.
Westside is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Summers County on Wednesday as they made off with an 18-2 victory. The Renegades might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Charlie Hawks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Westside is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-11 otherwise. Hawks was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Hayden Miller was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2025. Parker Cline was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Westside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Westside hit River View with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders lost 10-0 to the Renegades. The game marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.
Westside is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games. As for River View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Westside has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like River View struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Westside got the 'W' in their previous matchup on Friday against River View by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Renegades since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
