III Section I recap September 10, 2013
Fans got a thrill when Dillon Gragnano and Cameron Duffy connected against Flagstaff. The connection went for 81 yards, the longest such play in III Section I this season.
Goldwater lost to Deer Valley 48-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Ronnie Reed was a bright spot for the Bulldogs, as he ran for 12 yards and caught 1 passes for 10 yards in the loss.
Peoria's dynamic duo of Gragnano and Darius Aguirre proved to be unstoppable against the Eagles, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gragnano threw for 267 yards and 4 touchdowns and Aguirre had 156 yards receiving.

Jaylon James was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 156 yards on 19 carries as Cactus bested the Eagles. Teammate Talal Yousufzai added to the ground attack by rushing for 83 yards.
Gragnano put up the best numbers through the air as Peoria beat Flagstaff.

6-foot-1 quarterback Greenhalgh of the Demons is the league leader in passing yards this season with 469. He has also thrown 7 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Aguirre. The Peoria star has 12 catches for 211 yards.
Independence led III Section I in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Independence.
