Softball Recap: Commerce Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Commerce duked it out with Canadian on Thursday. The Commerce Tigers fell 11-6 to the Canadian Wildcats.

Kamdyn Mills made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Cayelin Crow, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Mills wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Commerce lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now launched at least two home runs in three consecutive matches.

Commerce has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season. The win (which was Canadian's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
