Everything went Northern Nash's way against Southern Nash as Northern Nash made off with a 75-54 victory. Given Northern Nash's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Southern Nash is ranked 452nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northern Nash can attribute much of their success to Randall King, who scored 18 points along with two steals, and Izeal Mallory II, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. King has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kingston Little, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Nash Central came up short against SouthWest Edgecombe on Tuesday and fell 57-44. Nash Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northern Nash is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Nash Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
